Foundation Coffee Amotai Partnership

At Foundation Coffee we have always embraced diversity and inclusion, within our team and our community. Through our experience working alongside many government owned entities, our team has been exploring what it truly means to be a Kiwi business and how we can further pay homage to our cultural roots through the work that we do.

Foundation Coffee is proud to announce our partnership with Amotai, Aotearoa's Supplier Diversity Partner for Māori and Pasifika businesses.

By consciously choosing us as a supplier, your business will be championing supplier diversity and recognising the added social value buying from Māori and Pasifika businesses can create in our communities. Supplier diversity is a growing practice in Aotearoa. Supporting this diversity is a valuable consideration for all workplaces, but in particular government owned entities, councils and schools who want to be ahead of the curve, while also meeting their KPI's in all aspects of procurement. 

In the current business climate, we understand that trust, adaptability and supporting local are of utmost importance to our customers and stakeholders. To us, being a Maori business doesn’t just represent the Iwi of our owners but also our wider team's Whanau and local Maori community. We are lucky enough to have a staff member whose child attended Kura Kaupapa Māori and we are in the process of setting up a training program that will be available through gateway or work experience to High Schools and Colleges within our local area. Through our local and wider network we endeavour to support youth to gain relevant training, qualifications and employment within our industry.
